Once you get to the Desert that kind of gameplay kills you and anybody that follows you every time. People get away with that kind of behaviour prelevel 20 because its still considering learning.

So dont worry because once you hit the desert you need extreme tactics, When you hit level 20 you soon learn that you wipe your group if you dont evaluate every encounter.

Why do people forget how to play when they get to the Ascention quests?

I think its more that they never learnt in the first place. Missions are suddenly harder and now all of a sudden they die every second fight for being newbish and wonder why.

or add puzzle elements in such as you have four boxes ( and a four person group ) and you need to place them in the right order but the boxes are assigned to the players and no one else can tuch them, so you have to work togather
